Job Summary
We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to support sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and data analysis activities within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for purchasing goods and services, maintaining procurement and quality-related data, supporting sourcing strategy execution, evaluating supplier performance, and ensuring materials and services are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will combine strong communication skills, analytical capabilities, and technical aptitude to collaborate effectively with suppliers, engineering teams, and procurement leadership.
Responsibilities
- Purchase tooling, equipment, parts, supplies, and services required to support business operations.
- Issue RFQs (Requests for Quotation) to suppliers and support competitive sourcing activities.
- Analyze total cost of ownership (TCO) and present sourcing recommendations to leadership.
- Research, evaluate, and manage suppliers based on quality, cost, service, delivery, and overall performance.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, bid proposals, quotations, and requisitions.
- Maintain and analyze purchasing and quality-related data, including purchase orders, invoices, supplier records, tooling records, quotations, and material disposition reports.
- Support implementation and execution of local and regional sourcing strategies.
- Partner with engineering teams to conduct technical reviews and supplier evaluations.
- Monitor supplier shipments and delivery schedules to ensure on-time fulfillment.
- Resolve issues related to supplier performance, quality concerns, and delayed or undelivered materials.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on procurement efficiency, quality, cost reduction, and supplier development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support operational and business objectives.
Years of Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field required.
- 2-4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supplier management, supply chain, or a related function required.
- Internship experience will not be considered in lieu of the required professional experience.
