Details: 12-month contract with ongoing need, opportunity for direct hire, fully onsite role
Pay Rate: $29.80 – 31.50/hr. with benefit inclusions

Job Summary
This role supports a dynamic supply chain organization by managing procurement activities, vendor relationships, and inventory processes across multiple projects. The position plays a key role in ensuring timely delivery, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and contributing to ongoing supply chain transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate is reliable, proactive in communication, and able to collaborate effectively across departments in a fast-paced, project-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage vendor-managed inventory (VMI) kanban processes and maintain appropriate inventory levels
  • Serve as the assigned buyer for multiple projects, working with various vendors per initiative
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships through regular communication, including bi-weekly meetings
  • Execute procurement activities within MRP systems and support basic data analysis efforts
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment on project and supply chain needs
  • Respond to ad hoc requests and provide indirect support across procurement activities
  • Communicate proactively with team members and stakeholders to ensure transparency and timely issue resolution
  • Support team coverage by assisting peers when needed and contributing to overall workload balance
  • Maintain a high standard of accuracy, timeliness, and reliability in all deliverables

Years of Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Equivalent experience considered with an associate degree and 9+ years of experience
  • Master’s degree accepted with 3+ years of experience
  • Internship experience may be considered toward total years of experience

Skills Required

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage vendor relationships
  • Time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Analytical capabilities with experience in basic data analysis and problem-solving
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and basic data visualization
  • Experience working with MRP systems
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reporting
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
  • Ability to work in an onsite office environment with occasional exposure to a production floor
