Title: IT Support Specialist

Details: Contract to hire after 90 days
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, three days 8am–5pm, two 10am–7pm
Pay Rate: $28 hr

DESCRIPTION:
This role is for an Onsite IT Support Associate responsible for managing the technical support needs of the Tempe site. The associate will oversee new hire onboarding, maintain onsite printers, and address all technical issues on the premises.
Support is provided through an internal ticketing system, with ticket volumes ranging from 10 to over 60 per day. The contractor will manage tickets and cases via chat and provide in-person assistance.
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide basic technical support to clients and vendors. Troubleshoot application issues and perform basic diagnostics of desktop/laptop software problems. Install and configure software, print drivers, utilities, and more on workstations and computer networks. Monitor installed systems, identify problems, and take corrective action.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage technical support needs onsite
Oversee new hire onboarding and issue laptops
Replace hardware and perform software updates
Maintain onsite printers and troubleshoot issues
Provide support via internal ticketing system and in-person
Handle 10–60 support interactions per day
Participate in a 3–4-week training program
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
1-3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-3 years of customer service experience
IT certifications or degrees preferred but not required
SKILLS REQUIRED:
1-3 years of IT experience including hardware management and networking concepts
1-3 years of customer service experience with strong communication skills
Experience with Windows operating systems
Basic troubleshooting experience with printers
VPN experience preferred
Friendly and approachable demeanor
The ability to work in a team environment and commit to a flexible work schedule.
