Title: IT Support Specialist
Location: Garland, Texas
Details: Contract to hire position, eligible for direct hire after 90 days, fully onsite role
Pay Rate: $29.00/hr.

3 days weekly 8am-5pm, 2 days weekly 10am – 7pm

Job Summary
The IT Specialist provides frontline technical support for enterprise hardware, software, and infrastructure across corporate and distribution center environments. This role is responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, supporting end users, maintaining IT equipment, and ensuring reliable technology services while following established security standards and IT best practices. Success in this position requires strong customer service, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for hardware, software, mobile devices, and enterprise applications.
  • Analyze, prioritize, troubleshoot, document, and resolve incidents and service requests using ITSM tools while meeting service level expectations.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and support desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Support audio/visual and conferencing technologies for meetings and business operations.
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, equipment deployments, upgrades, refreshes, and technology lifecycle activities.
  • Maintain accurate ticket documentation, asset inventory records, and technical knowledge articles.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to support repairs, maintenance, and technology implementations.
  • Provide technical support within warehouse and distribution environments, including printers and other operational technology.
  • Follow change management, security, and compliance procedures for all technology-related activities.

Years of Experience and Education

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise IT environments.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, or related credentials are a plus.

Skills Required

  • Windows desktop deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • PC hardware installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral support.
  • Mobile device support (iOS and Android).
  • Microsoft Office and enterprise productivity tools.
  • ITSM/ticketing system experience and service desk best practices.
  • Audio/visual and conferencing technology support.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Experience supporting distribution center, warehouse, or operational environments.
  • Basic networking knowledge, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, endpoint management, and enterprise security tools.
