Position Overview
We are seeking a Communications Associate to support the U.S. Policy Communications team. This individual will play a key role in driving team organization, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and supporting public policy communications initiatives across the United States. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the U.S. Policy Communications Lead by coordinating team operations, priorities, and communications initiatives.
- Serve as a central point of coordination between regional U.S. communications leads and internal stakeholders across multiple business functions.
- Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration and alignment on policy communications strategies and priorities.
- Develop and maintain internal and external communications materials, including:
- Press releases and media materials
- Story pitches
- Op-eds
- Messaging frameworks and guidelines
- Q&A documents
- Briefing materials
- Presentations
- Executive talking points
- Partner closely with Public Policy teams to identify communications opportunities related to new community policies and initiatives.
- Support efforts that strengthen the company’s reputation and protect business interests through strategic communications.
- Assist with communications planning and execution during high-priority or time-sensitive situations.
- Help establish and improve team processes, documentation, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3+ years of professional experience in communications, public relations, public affairs, corporate communications, or a related field.
- Experience supporting teams in both communications and administrative capacities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience developing external-facing communications content.
- Prior experience working with media relations, press outreach, or communications campaigns.
- Highly organized with strong project management and process improvement skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
