Position Overview
We are seeking a Communications Associate to support the U.S. Policy Communications team. This individual will play a key role in driving team organization, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and supporting public policy communications initiatives across the United States. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the U.S. Policy Communications Lead by coordinating team operations, priorities, and communications initiatives.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination between regional U.S. communications leads and internal stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration and alignment on policy communications strategies and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external communications materials, including:
    • Press releases and media materials
    • Story pitches
    • Op-eds
    • Messaging frameworks and guidelines
    • Q&A documents
    • Briefing materials
    • Presentations
    • Executive talking points
  • Partner closely with Public Policy teams to identify communications opportunities related to new community policies and initiatives.
  • Support efforts that strengthen the company’s reputation and protect business interests through strategic communications.
  • Assist with communications planning and execution during high-priority or time-sensitive situations.
  • Help establish and improve team processes, documentation, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in communications, public relations, public affairs, corporate communications, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting teams in both communications and administrative capacities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience developing external-facing communications content.
  • Prior experience working with media relations, press outreach, or communications campaigns.
  • Highly organized with strong project management and process improvement skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and belonging.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting public policy, government affairs, reputation management, or corporate affairs initiatives.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure while managing competing priorities.
