Infrastructure Engineer
Job Type: W2, 3-year Contract

- Occasional travel to Coffeyville, KS

Pay Rate: $22 – $23 per hour

Drug Test: Required due to operation of the Client’s equipment (e.g., John Deere Gator / Golf Cart)
Major Purpose:
Provides day-to-day operational support for a computing environment (computer center, unit computing, a community of users, etc.) to contribute to the smooth running of that environment. Procedures are generally well-established. Support activities require a good, basic technical background and are administrative in nature. Performs/monitors processes or operations that are reasonably stable and/or require choices between several options.
Job Description:
Provide onsite deskside Tier 2 support performing the following duties:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operational Support:
- Perform and monitor standard processes or operations that are highly stable and/or relatively consistent in how to fix.
- Examples: imaging computers, replacing printer toner, disposing of outdated assets, resolving trouble tickets from ServiceNow queues.
Documentation and Communication:
- Record and distribute information with some interaction with external contacts.
- Examples: updating assets in Asset Center, following KB articles for problem resolution, adhering to unit-specific processes.
- Maintain effective email communications and create/update basic documents and records such as:
- Contact lists
- Process logs
- Problem incidence reports
- Customer information updates
- Exterior ship orders
- Inventory, maintenance, or service records
- Facilities administration requests
Problem Recognition and Resolution:
- Identify problems with supported processes/operations.
- Resolve issues using pre-established and documented solutions.
- Escalate problems that fall outside the scope of established procedures.
Maintenance and Inventory:
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and data supporting processes or operations.
- Examples: scheduling routine equipment maintenance, ordering supplies, monitoring inventory, updating data records, interacting with suppliers.
Technical Support:
- Apply basic technical knowledge to support operations.
- Examples: understanding printer operations to replace toner and pickup rollers, troubleshooting tickets using KB articles.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of computing and networking concepts and fundamentals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet/intranet functions
- Understanding of computer security policies and general security concepts
- 1+ year of IT experience preferred (recent college graduates will be considered)
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience preferred
