Computer Support Associate

Location: Onsite (4+ days per week)
Schedule: 1st Shift, approximately 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (flexible)
Compensation: $25/hr W2 + PTO + benefits
Duration: Short-term contract with potential for long-term extension or future FTE conversion based on performance

Position Overview

We are seeking a Computer Support Associate to provide hands-on technical and operational support in a corporate IT environment. This role combines desktop support, hardware deployment, inventory management, and customer service. The manager is open to recent graduates looking to gain experience, as well as candidates with prior IT support experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and peripheral issues
  • Provide break/fix support while delivering excellent customer service
  • Image, deploy, configure, and replace laptops, desktops, and other devices
  • Support conference room technology and end-user equipment
  • Manage IT assets, inventory, deployments, and equipment disposal
  • Resolve and document incidents and service requests through ServiceNow
  • Follow knowledge base articles and established procedures to resolve issues
  • Assist server and network teams with hands-on support as needed
  • Maintain inventory records, support logs, and asset documentation
  • Perform basic printer maintenance, including toner replacement
  • Move and transport IT equipment throughout the facility
  • Escalate issues that fall outside documented procedures

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of IT support, desktop support, help desk, or related experience
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills
  • Basic understanding of Windows environments and hardware troubleshooting
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25-30 lbs of equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
  • Experience imaging and deploying computers
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts
