Summary
Join a high-performing Enterprise Procurement team as a Contracting Specialist supporting contract negotiations, vendor management, and procurement strategy execution. This role is responsible for developing negotiation strategies, managing contractual agreements, and ensuring compliance across vendor and client relationships. You will play a key role in facilitating contracts, mitigating risk, and driving continuous improvement in procurement operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute contract negotiation strategies for services, including SOWs, Amendments, Master Agreements, and Supplier Paper
  • Manage and negotiate regulatory and compliance-related agreements (BAAs, government services, etc.)
  • Evaluate business requirements, identify risks, and lead contract negotiations with vendors
  • Prepare contractual provisions and administer contract proposals through execution
  • Ensure product and service descriptions comply with PHI/PII/BAA standards
  • Develop and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensure pricing consistency with sourcing strategies
  • Issue purchase orders and support full contract lifecycle management
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Procurement Consultants, and internal stakeholders to align negotiation strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement in vendor relations and contracting processes

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of contract negotiations experience for services
  • Minimum 2+ years of contract strategy management experience
  • Experience negotiating SOWs, Amendments, and Master Agreements
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance-related contracts (BAA, PHI, PII)
  • Proven ability to develop negotiation strategies and manage vendor relationships
  • Experience reviewing and managing business contractual terms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced contract redlining and negotiation expertise across Master Agreements, SOWs, Supplier Paper, and Amendments
  • Strong contract review and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with procurement systems and standard business applications
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Experience with effectiveness measurement and performance tracking

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Juris Doctor (JD) is a plus
  • 2+ years negotiating business contractual terms, with legal contract exposure preferred
