About the Role
Our local People & Culture (P&C) team is seeking a dynamic and analytical Human Resource Contractor to support both operational and strategic HR initiatives. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a strong HR foundation and a passion for data-driven decision-making. The selected candidate will play a critical role in supporting our frontline workforce and internal partners, with potential to transition into a full-time HR Analyst role as the Huntsville Plant continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Engagement & Communication

  • Serve as a frontline HR representative, supporting employee experience and engagement.
  • Lead New Hire Orientation and participate in employee committees and plant events.
  • Manage internal communications, including newsletters, campaign materials, and executive decks.
  • Design infographics and one-pagers for HR initiatives and communication boards.
  • Act as a liaison between HR and frontline employees, ensuring clear and professional communication.

2. Data Analysis & Reporting (Primary Focus)

  • Collect, clean, and maintain HR datasets (e.g., employee records, engagement surveys, headcount, turnover, performance).
  • Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Analyze workforce data to identify trends in hiring, attrition, DEI, and employee experience.
  • Collaborate with P&C stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.
  • Ensure data accuracy through validation and quality control.
  • Support reporting for Time & Attendance, vacation tracking, and scheduling.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (completed or in progress) in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to engage diverse audiences and handle sensitive HR matters professionally.
  • Proficiency in Power BI (preferred) or other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; familiarity with SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
  • Passionate about employee experience and continuous improvement through data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program.
  • Completion of junior year or higher.
