Now Hiring: Data Analyst (Contract) | Chicago, IL (Hybrid) $40/hr

We are seeking a highly analytical Data Analyst to join a dynamic team supporting business intelligence, reporting, and data-driven decision-making initiatives. This is a full-time contract opportunity offering a hybrid work schedule, with onsite presence in downtown Chicago and a few remote workdays each week.

In this role, you will leverage large datasets to develop reporting solutions, build dashboards, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide actionable insights that help drive business performance. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a strategic mindset and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities • Collect, analyze, and report business data to support operational and strategic initiatives
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and other reporting tools using Power BI and Excel
• Define and track KPIs and SLAs across business functions
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
• Build and maintain predictive models to support business decisions
• Produce monthly performance reports and present findings to stakeholders
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives through data-driven insights
• Help maintain data frameworks and reporting infrastructure
• Partner with business leaders to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or analytics
• Industry experience within financial services, insurance, credit card, or related sectors
• Advanced SQL query writing experience
• Strong Power BI reporting and dashboard development skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience creating KPI and SLA reporting
• Strong understanding of databases, statistics, and data warehousing concepts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
