Type: W2 Contract – Ongoing (No C2C)
Pay: $40-$60 / hour


Position Overview

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join the Wrangling and Visualization Migration Team. In this role, you will collaborate with developers, architects, product managers, and feature teams to deliver core platform components that support scalable, secure, and high-performing web services.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying data services that interact with large-scale data systems, while also supporting production processes and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and enhance data platform components
  • Support migrations from Alteryx to modern cloud-based tools
  • Design and implement new applications and platform improvements to accelerate migration efforts
  • Provide technical leadership and contribute to architectural decisions across teams
  • Develop high-quality, scalable, secure, and maintainable code
  • Participate in feature design discussions and ensure seamless integration across systems and tools
  • Monitor production environments and troubleshoot development and operational issues

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Alteryx
  • 2+ years of experience with dbt Core, Dataform, and/or Google Cloud Platform tools
  • Strong expertise in Python and cloud-based data wrangling tools or applications
  • Data Engineering and ETL development
  • Python and SQL programming
  • Google Cloud Platform
  • Data analytics, data mining, and business intelligence
  • Big data technologies and application development
  • Software engineering fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience migrating Alteryx workflows to cloud-native or modern data platforms
  • Strong collaboration skills with product managers, product owners, and cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in Agile environments, including test-driven development (TDD)
  • Background in software or platform operations and production support
  • Experience building and deploying production-grade applications or services
  • Familiarity with ETL and data integration platforms or industrial data systems
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate data and documentation
  • Willingness to adapt and learn new technologies

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred)
  • Master’s degree preferred
