Job Type: Full time, 12-month, on-going contract 

Expected hours per week: 40 hours per week 

Schedule: On-site, Monday-Friday, 8am-5:00pm 

Pay Range: $40.00-$42.85 

Job Description:  

This position will be accountable for contributing to the concept, development, and design of complex algorithms, analytical models, or applications that use product data. This position performs complex analysis work, identifies design problems, and resolves problems. Incumbents may work more directly with different units, suppliers, customers, and/or other teams. This requires the ability to communicate technical information in a concise and accurate manner.  

This position is responsible for identifying opportunities to solve problems in his or her functional area through the use of analytical models; helping analysts on a team to design, development, and testing of predictive and prescriptive analytic algorithms/tools using telematics data to enhance product performance and efficiency within engine development, and to provide customers’ value-added services, recommendations, and optimized solutions for their engines, equipment, and/or job sites. Specific tasks will include the development of data mining processes and tools for engine data collection, aggregation, feature extraction, analytics modeling, and reliability/durability forecasting to support engineering design, simulation, CPI, and NPI.  

Typical day to day activities include – Working with various other team members, executing data analytics projects and presenting the results to internal customers, developing and publishing dashboards, enhancements to Digital tools, adopting to DevOps process, building Machine Learning models for engine health condition monitoring.  

The incumbent must quickly research new areas of analytics techniques and algorithmic approaches needed for meeting customer requirements, with the ability to work in agile or digital NPI processes. Along with analytics skills, the successful candidate will need to have some engine domain knowledge.   

Basic Qualifications:    

?  Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical or Computer/Analytics curriculum 

?  Experience with programming languages such as Python, Matlab, or SQL, data visualization tools such as Tableau, or Power BI, and working with various Databases & Cloud Computing  

?  Strong proficiency in statistical and analytical methods, ML/AI
