Pay Rate: $49.00 – 51.00/hr. with benefit inclusions
Job Summary
The Database Analyst/Developer is responsible for designing, building, documenting, and maintaining analytics data flows that transform enterprise?safe source data into high?quality, analysis?ready datasets. This role serves as a subject matter expert for assigned data domains and collaborates with a global data team to support business insights across Procurement and Supply Chain initiatives. Key contributions include cleansing, normalizing, modeling, and delivering data in Snowflake, developing Power BI reporting, and enabling scalable pipelines using Python?based ETL processes. The position also supports modernization efforts as the team transitions from legacy analytics tools to a cloud?native, high?velocity data environment.
Responsibilities
- Interpret business and customer data requests to determine optimal data solutions.
- Design, document, build, and test Snowflake data models that deliver clean, reliable, and properly governed datasets.
- Develop SQL?based transformations and pipelines that support reporting, analytics, and downstream data consumption.
- Build or support Power BI dashboards, including potential Power Apps integrations to enhance the user experience.
- Develop and maintain Python?based ETL processes to establish and automate data flows.
- Ensure adherence to coding, naming, documentation, and data management standards.
- Communicate changes, updates, and best practices to customers, teammates, and data consumers.
- Collaborate with data scientists and peer data engineers to optimize the use of shared master data and minimize redundancies.
- Assist with testing, validation, and review of team?developed datasets and visualizations.
- Provide backup support for specific products, datasets, and reporting pipelines.
- Participate in cross?training efforts to reduce single?point dependencies within a distributed global team.
- Apply analytical methods, statistical concepts, and digital tools where applicable to support data preparation and insight generation.
- Engage in multiple concurrent assignments to expand technical and business knowledge across the data ecosystem.
Years of Experience & Education
- Years of Experience:
- 5–7 years of professional experience in database analysis, data transformations, or data pipeline development.
- Candidates with 3+ solid years of directly relevant experience will also be considered.
- Degree Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field emphasizing digital systems and data.
- Internships:
- Internship experience may be considered when paired with strong professional experience.
- Related Job Titles May Include:
- Data Engineer, ETL Developer, SQL Developer, BI Developer, Database Analyst, Data Integration Engineer.
