We’re seeking a highly creative and hands?on Design Engineer V to support an exciting path?finding effort within our software and AI innovation teams. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in fast?paced environments, enjoys rapid experimentation, and loves bringing new product ideas to life through prototypes and working demos.
You will collaborate closely with cross?functional partners to ideate, prototype, problem?solve, and build new design and software concepts. If you’re energized by emerging AI possibilities and enjoy shaping early?stage product ideas, this is a unique opportunity to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop concepts for new products, systems, and experiences.
- Create draft blueprints, engineering plans, and visual representations.
- Build and test rapid prototypes for new hardware, software, or integrated systems.
- Diagnose risks, issues, and design challenges within prototypes.
- Use CAD and other engineering tools to develop models and technical drawings.
- Identify opportunities to improve production or development efficiency.
- Oversee or support the manufacturing or build process for design concepts.
- Collaborate with teammates to ideate, path?find, and demonstrate concepts to stakeholders and leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or a related field).
- Strong creativity, analytical thinking, and problem?solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and CAD reports.
- Experience creating sketches, engineering drawings, and performing engineering computations.
- Proficiency with CAD or similar engineering and design software.
- Hands-on prototyping experience with the ability to rapidly turn ideas into tangible demos.
- Experience engineering new design or software concepts from scratch.
- Coding experience in mobile and/or web environments.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, especially when presenting prototypes.
- Ability to articulate and understand product strategy within the AI market.
