Now Hiring: Dev/Research Engineer II (12-Month Contract) | Tucson, AZ

Are you an early-career engineer who enjoys working hands-on with heavy equipment, testing, troubleshooting, and validating new technology? We are seeking a Dev/Research Engineer II to support testing and validation activities on large mining equipment and next-generation machine platforms at a proving ground facility in Tucson, Arizona.

Location: Tucson, AZ
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Pay Rate: Up to $50/hr
Work Arrangement: 100% On-Site

What You’ll Do: • Plan, execute, and document machine-level testing activities
• Support validation of machine functionality, software systems, and subsystems
• Develop test plans, standard work procedures, and validation documentation
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and software systems
• Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvements
• Partner with engineers, technicians, operators, supply chain teams, and logistics personnel to deliver projects successfully
• Support new product introductions, product improvements, safety initiatives, durability testing, and regulatory compliance efforts

What We’re Looking For: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
• 1-2 years of engineering experience (internships accepted)
• Experience with testing, validation, troubleshooting, or equipment diagnostics
• Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics
• Comfortable working in a hands-on environment around heavy equipment
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions

Preferred Backgrounds: • Heavy equipment, construction, mining, forestry, agricultural equipment, automotive, or industrial machinery experience
• Mechanical or equipment-focused experience
• Construction, landscaping, mechanic, or contractor project management experience
• Data acquisition experience is a plus
