Electrical Engineer
Location: Horicon, WI
Work Arrangement: Onsite (1st Shift)
Contract Duration: 2-year, with possibility of extension
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
Pay: $50/hr

Position Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development of vehicle electrical systems for outdoor power equipment and utility vehicles. This role will collaborate with engineering, supply management, quality, validation, manufacturing, and program management teams throughout the product development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, integrating, and validating vehicle electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, electrical components, and software/hardware interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own electrical system requirements, including hardware and software specifications.
- Design, develop, and release vehicle electrical systems and wiring harnesses for production programs.
- Create, maintain, and organize bills of material (BOMs) for electrical systems.
- Partner with suppliers on component feasibility, development, testing, and integration activities.
- Provide engineering support during prototype builds, validation activities, and production launches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and implementation.
- Support troubleshooting and issue resolution throughout the development and production process.
- Maintain clear documentation and communication of project deliverables and engineering changes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 3+ years of experience in vehicle electrical system design, integration, development, or testing.
- Experience with electrical components, wiring harnesses, schematics, and software/hardware integration.
- Demonstrated experience managing engineering deliverables and project timelines.
- Understanding of product development processes and engineering best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to support engineering builds and production activities outside normal business hours when necessary.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with agricultural, construction, recreational, industrial, or other off-highway vehicle products.
- Experience creating and maintaining bills of material for vehicle or test systems.
- Experience with embedded systems development, software validation, verification, SIL, or HIL testing environments.
- Experience designing wiring harnesses and electrical systems using 3D CAD tools.
- Project leadership or project management experience.
- Experience mentoring, training, or supporting less experienced engineers.
- Experience coordinating work with remote or globally distributed engineering teams.
- Knowledge of systems engineering methodologies and practices.
- Additional technical expertise in related engineering disciplines.
Additional Information
- Safety footwear with metatarsal protection is required on the first day onsite.
- This position is fully onsite and offers the opportunity to work on innovative vehicle electrical systems from concept through production.
