? Electrical Engineer (High Voltage / EV) – Mossville, IL (Onsite)

Location: Mossville, IL (Onsite – 5 days/week)
Duration: 12-month contract
Pay Rate: $41–$44/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM


? About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support high-impact work in EV and high-voltage component design. This role focuses on designing and validating electrical components, specifically high-voltage connectors (48V–1500V), for next-generation products.

This is a hands-on engineering position where you will take cradle-to-grave ownership of components, working cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers to drive design, testing, and implementation.


? Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test electrical components, including wiring harnesses and high-voltage connectors
  • Own parts from requirements gathering through validation and production
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop technical proposals, quotes, and timelines
  • Evaluate cost, reliability, and performance of design solutions
  • Conduct testing and validation to ensure quality and compliance standards
  • Interpret and create engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive project execution and product delivery

? Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • 5–7+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience with high-voltage systems, EV technology, or battery systems
  • Strong background in wiring harness or component design
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with manufacturing environments
  • Exposure to test lab validation and product testing
  • Experience using MS Project or similar tools
  • Background in EV connectors or battery systems
