Location: Mossville, IL (On-Site)
Schedule: First Shift
Compensation: $44.00 – $48.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the development, validation, certification, and lifecycle management of electronic components for a leading global equipment manufacturer. This role will play a key part in new product introduction (NPI) initiatives, production support activities, and component validation programs while collaborating with engineering teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support electronic component new product introduction (NPI) projects and current production applications.
  • Develop, execute, and document validation plans for electronic components and systems.
  • Perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis of electronic components.
  • Configure and validate devices utilizing software and firmware tools.
  • Manage electronic component certification activities and compliance requirements.
  • Evaluate reliability, safety, performance, and cost-effectiveness of electrical designs.
  • Create and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct testing and analysis to verify system and component performance.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams, project leads, suppliers, and stakeholders to support project objectives.
  • Provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle and drive continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5–7 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience with electronic component design.
  • Experience executing electronic component validation and testing activities.
  • Experience performing electronic component failure analysis and root cause investigations.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with firmware for electronic components.
  • Background in quality, reliability, or validation engineering.
  • Knowledge of electronic component certification processes.
  • Experience supporting product development and manufacturing environments.
