Daily Schedule: 8AM – 4PM
Pay Rate: $55.00 – $57.00/hr.
Job Summary
The Embedded Software Engineer is responsible for applying computer science and engineering principles to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of embedded software systems. This role focuses on developing software for embedded devices, improving system performance, and supporting products from concept through commercial deployment. Candidates should have experience with software development, validation testing, and embedded systems design.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement software for embedded devices and systems from requirements through production deployment.
- Analyze, improve, and optimize system efficiency, stability, and scalability.
- Develop logical and physical database descriptions and support database implementation activities.
- Review project requirements and user needs to estimate development effort, timelines, and costs.
- Troubleshoot software issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Support validation testing activities for embedded software and hardware systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2–4 years of professional industry experience (internships do not count toward experience requirements).
- Experience in software development using MATLAB and Simulink.
- Strong programming skills in C and/or C++.
- Knowledge of embedded systems development and validation processes.
- Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and component data sheets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Background
- Prior experience as a Software Developer, Embedded Software Engineer, or Requirements Management Engineer.
- Experience working through the complete software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of embedded development tools and software technologies such as SQL, Visual Basic, or similar technologies.
