Overview
We are seeking experienced CAD Designers to support the development and release of engineering models, assemblies, and drawings for aerospace ground systems, launch infrastructure, testing equipment, and support tooling. This role requires strong Creo expertise, experience with configuration-controlled releases, and a solid understanding of GD&T standards.
Due to program requirements, candidates must be U.S. Citizens.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using Creo (Pro/ENGINEER).
- Generate manufacturing and assembly drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and GD&T standards.
- Support engineering change notices (ECNs), configuration management, and drawing release processes.
- Design and document ground support equipment, test fixtures, launch infrastructure, transportation fixtures, and handling tooling.
- Define mechanical, electrical, and fluid interfaces for equipment and systems.
- Participate in design reviews and collaborate with engineering teams to implement design updates and improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with Creo (Pro/ENGINEER) for parts, assemblies, and drawings.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Experience with engineering change management and configuration-controlled release processes.
- Experience creating detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Available to start within 2 weeks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Windchill or similar PLM/configuration management systems.
- Experience supporting aerospace, launch vehicle, ground support equipment, or testing programs.
- Familiarity with fluid schematics, connector pinouts, and interface documentation.
- Experience designing test fixtures, lifting devices, transportation tooling, or launch pad structures.
