Summary
We are seeking an experienced EPC Project Manager to support gas and electric delivery initiatives focused on infrastructure modernization, reliability improvements, and large customer projects. This role is responsible for managing multiple medium-to-large projects while ensuring delivery on scope, cost, schedule, and quality in a regulated utility environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage medium-to-large projects of moderate to high complexity
- Ensure projects deliver positive business value and meet scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans across forecasting, scoping, scheduling, execution, and closeout
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and constraints
- Manage multiple projects concurrently at different stages of development
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver project tasks and milestones
- Facilitate workflow to ensure adherence to approved project plans
- Serve as the primary communication lead throughout the project lifecycle
- Present project updates and performance metrics to senior leadership
- Validate financial forecasts and reconcile project expenditures and resources
- Identify and drive process improvements, standards, and performance enhancements
- Support storm restoration efforts, including on-call rotation and extended hours as needed
- Travel to job sites and meetings as required (significant travel possible)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited college or university
- 5+ years of engineering or business experience leading medium-to-large projects
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven experience working cross-functionally to resolve issues and drive projects to completion
- Demonstrated ability to build trust with sponsors and key stakeholders
- Ability to lead teams, resolve conflict, and operate effectively with ambiguity
- Valid driver’s license
- PMP Certification required within 3 years of starting the role
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with gas or electric transmission and distribution infrastructure
- Experience leading complex projects impacting large customers, municipalities, or agencies
- Strong background in risk identification, mitigation, and management
- Experience reporting project status and performance to senior leadership
