Front-End Developer (Hybrid)
Location: Dearborn, MI
Schedule: Hybrid (4 days onsite per week)
Employment Type: W2 Contract
Compensation: $58-60 per hour with benefits
Epitec is seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to join a dynamic development team focused on building modern, user-friendly web applications. This role is ideal for a developer who is passionate about creating exceptional user experiences, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging modern front-end technologies to deliver impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders and end users to understand business needs, pain points, and requirements.
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality front-end solutions using modern web technologies and frameworks.
- Create responsive, accessible, and engaging user interfaces that align with enterprise design standards.
- Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, back-end developers, architects, and other team members throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to visualize and improve new features and functionality.
- Participate in UI design reviews, product demonstrations, and feedback sessions.
- Perform automated functional testing and UI testing to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot issues, resolve defects, and continuously optimize application performance.
- Ensure adherence to architecture standards, coding best practices, accessibility requirements, and SEO principles.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to improve development efficiency and user experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of overall IT experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Practical experience in at least two programming languages or advanced expertise in one programming language.
- Strong front-end development experience using:
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
- React and/or Angular
- Experience building responsive and mobile-friendly web applications.
- Familiarity with automated testing and UI testing practices.
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility, accessibility standards, and SEO best practices.
- Experience collaborating within Agile or cross-functional development teams.
