Front-End Software Engineer I
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 4 days onsite per week in Dearborn, MI

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Front-End Software Engineer I to develop and maintain user-friendly, responsive web applications. This position will focus on designing and implementing high-quality user interfaces while collaborating with product owners, UX designers, back-end developers, architects, and other technical teams.
The ideal candidate has experience with modern front-end technologies, a strong understanding of user-centered design, and an interest in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career software engineer looking to expand their technical skills while contributing to enterprise-level applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive front-end web applications.
- Build intuitive and accessible user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or similar technologies.
- Engage with customers and business stakeholders to understand use cases, challenges, and technical requirements.
- Translate user needs into practical, user-centered software solutions.
- Create mockups and prototypes to demonstrate new features and application workflows.
- Participate in user interface design reviews, technical discussions, and product demonstrations.
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, back-end developers, and software architects throughout the development lifecycle.
- Follow enterprise architecture guidelines, brand standards, development practices, and reusable design patterns.
- Perform functional, automated, and user interface testing to ensure application quality.
- Troubleshoot application issues, resolve bugs, and optimize performance.
- Support cross-browser compatibility, responsive design, SEO principles, and accessibility standards.
- Research and implement emerging tools, frameworks, and technologies that improve development efficiency and the user experience.
- Document application features, technical decisions, testing results, and development processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Software development experience, including internships, academic projects, or professional experience.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as:
- HTML5
- CSS3
- JavaScript
- React and/or Angular
- Knowledge of responsive web and mobile-friendly application design.
- Experience with Python.
- Exposure to artificial intelligence, expert systems, or AI-enabled application features.
- Familiarity with databases and data-driven applications.
- Understanding of software development and testing fundamentals.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work onsite four days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs or back-end services.
- Familiarity with Git or other version-control tools.
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
- Experience creating wireframes, mockups, or interactive prototypes.
- Understanding of automated testing, UI testing, and test-driven development.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards, cross-browser testing, and SEO principles.
- Experience developing or supporting AI-powered user experiences.
- Portfolio, GitHub profile, internship experience, or academic projects demonstrating front-end development capabilities.
