Caterpillar is seeking an HR Generalist 1 to support HR operations at its Lafayette facility. This onsite role focuses on employee relations, investigations, new hire onboarding, and general HR support, partnering closely with site leadership and HR management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution
- Serve as a liaison between employees and management
- Support onboarding, HR documentation, and policy administration
- Assist with pay issues, employee engagement, and general HR functions
Requirements:
- 0–2 years of HR experience (internships accepted)
- High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s preferred
- Strong communication, customer service, and employee relations skills
- General knowledge of Microsoft tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
