About the Role
Are you passionate about improving manufacturing processes while helping drive the future of factory innovation? We are seeking an Industrial / Innovation Agency Engineer to support productivity improvements, labor optimization, and manufacturing efficiency initiatives while playing a key role in the deployment of advanced technologies across the plant.
This is a highly visible, cross-functional position that combines traditional Industrial Engineering responsibilities with cutting-edge innovation projects involving Robotics, AI Vision Systems, Data Analytics, Digitalization, 3D Printing, and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AGVs/AMRs).
Key Responsibilities
Industrial Engineering & Productivity
- Conduct time studies, labor analysis, and work measurement activities using Industrial Engineering methodologies.
- Develop, maintain, and improve labor standards and manufacturing methods.
- Analyze production constraints, cycle times, and process bottlenecks to improve plant efficiency.
- Support workstation design reviews and ergonomic assessments.
- Maintain capacity planning documentation and support annual budgeting and workforce planning activities.
- Utilize AutoCAD for basic workstation and layout updates.
Innovation & Advanced Manufacturing
- Support plant-wide innovation initiatives and annual corporate innovation objectives.
- Collaborate with teams focused on:
- Digitalization
- Data Analytics
- Advanced Robotics
- AI Vision
- 3D Printing
- AGVs/AMRs
- Assist in identifying, tracking, and implementing innovation projects from concept through deployment.
- Facilitate brainstorming and idea-generation sessions across manufacturing areas.
- Support proof-of-concept testing and technology evaluations.
- Promote innovation successes through internal communications and plant-wide engagement activities.
Capacity Expansion & Project Support
- Support equipment run-offs, installation, and implementation activities for capacity expansion projects.
- Partners with Production, Engineering, Corporate SMEs, and Union leadership to execute initiatives and resolve issues.
- Participate in benchmarking events, industry conferences, and training opportunities to identify best practices.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong understanding of Industrial Engineering principles including:
- Labor analysis
- Time and motion studies
- Productivity improvement
- Capacity and constraint analysis
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with excellent collaboration and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field.
- Experience with MODAPTS, GSPAS, or APT systems.
- Knowledge of ergonomic analysis tools.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Interest or experience with:
- Robotics
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Data Analytics
- 3D Printing
- AGVs/AMRs
- Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, or basic programming.
