Schedule: 3rd Shift, Monday-Friday, 1:00 AM – 9:45 AM CT
Pay Rate: $60-$62/hour

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Specialist III to join a global cybersecurity team focused on proactive threat detection and incident response. This position plays a critical role in identifying, investigating, and mitigating advanced cyber threats before they impact the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Security Operations (SOC), Threat Hunting, Incident Response, SIEM technologies, and network security analysis. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside security operations, intelligence, and enterprise security teams in a fast-paced environment protecting critical business systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform proactive threat hunting and adversary detection activities across enterprise networks.
  • Analyze security events and alerts using SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewall, email security, and network monitoring tools.
  • Conduct incident response investigations, triage suspected compromises, and determine attack scope and impact.
  • Collaborate with SOC, Incident Response, Intelligence, and Enterprise Security teams during investigations.
  • Develop and improve security detections, playbooks, and operational processes.
  • Identify visibility gaps and recommend security enhancements.
  • Review and mentor junior analysts while promoting security best practices.
  • Communicate technical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of cybersecurity or information security experience.
  • Experience working within a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR, and DFIR technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of incident response methodologies and threat hunting.
  • Experience with log analysis and network traffic analysis.
  • Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
  • Knowledge of endpoint security, intrusion detection, firewalls, and identity management technologies.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and technical projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP, GCFA, GCIH, GCFE, or similar cybersecurity certifications.
  • Experience with security compliance frameworks, internal controls, SOX, and privacy regulations.
  • Insurance industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
