Job Title: IT Operations Support Specialist
Location: Dearborn, MI
Job Type: W2 Contract
Expected hours per week: 40 hours per week
Schedule: 8am to 5pm EST
Pay: $43 per hour
Summary
This role supports IT operations. As part of the Plant IT team, you will provide hands-on support to manufacturing operations while helping enable electrification strategy and initiatives.
You’ll work directly with plant teams to ensure manufacturing systems, applications, and infrastructure operate reliably in a fast-paced, multi-shift environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site IT support for plant floor applications, infrastructure, and end-user tools
- Support a multi-shift manufacturing operation, including occasional weekends
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents across servers, networks, and manufacturing systems
- Serve as hands-and-feet support for corporate and global IT teams
- Support legacy manufacturing systems and next-generation technologies (IIoT, mobility, software-defined networking)
- Assist with incident triage, escalations, and business continuity
- Support local Cisco network equipment and Windows/Linux servers (physical & virtual)
- Maintain accurate support documentation
- Partner with plant departments including assembly, controls, quality, and finance
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
Required Skills & Experience

Windows Server (2016+) and/or Linux
- Active Directory / ADFS
- VMware vSphere
- Cisco routers and switches (basic setup, cabling, troubleshooting)
- Office 365 and SharePoint
- Windows PCs, printers, and office automation
- iOS and Android devices
- Handheld scanners and imagers
Nice to Have (Not Required):
- Cisco SDA
- Plant floor automation (PLC, controls)
- PowerShell scripting
- Manufacturing or plant IT experience
