Position Description:
We’re hiring an IT Operations Analyst to support a high?volume automotive manufacturing environment where the Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator are built. This role sits directly on the plant floor and partners closely with manufacturing teams to keep critical IT systems running smoothly across a multi?shift operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional looking to apply infrastructure and support skills in a hands?on manufacturing setting while gaining exposure to modern factory technologies.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide on?site IT support for plant users across applications, infrastructure, and end?user systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents involving servers, networks, PCs, scanners, printers, and mobile devices.
- Support Windows and Linux servers across physical and virtual (VMware vSphere) environments.
- Assist with network support in a Cisco?based environment, including switches, routers, cabling, and basic staging.
- Partner with corporate IT and global support teams to resolve escalations and ensure business continuity.
- Support manufacturing systems and plant floor technologies, including MES and automation?adjacent systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on lean manufacturing and error proofing.
- Develop and maintain clear technical documentation and support procedures.
- Support multi?shift operations, including occasional weekend production support.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in IT Operations, IT Support, or Infrastructure Support.
- Hands?on experience with Windows Server (2016+) and Active Directory.
- Basic networking experience with Cisco routers and switches.
- Experience supporting VMware vSphere or virtual server environments.
- End?user support experience with Windows, Office 365, PCs, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
- Comfortable working in a fast?paced, on?site manufacturing or 24/7 environment.
- Willingness to learn plant floor systems, Cisco SDA, and manufacturing applications.
Nice to Have:
- Linux server experience.
- SharePoint support experience.
- PowerShell scripting.
- Exposure to manufacturing systems, automation, PLCs, or IIOT initiatives.
- Experience supporting iOS and Android devices.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
