Duration: 12-month contract with long-term ongoing need, opportunity for direct hire – Hybrid role, 3 days weekly onsite after training
Pay Rate: $85.00 – 90.00/hr. with benefits inclusions
Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in hardware lifecycle management to support ongoing IT asset initiatives. This role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of hardware—from procurement to disposal—while managing OS upgrades and ensuring data accuracy across systems. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, technically proficient, and comfortable working across multiple teams and locations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage yearly device replacement projects, including inception, procurement, deployment, and disposal.
- Coordinate OS upgrade initiatives across multiple locations.
- Maintain and update tracking tools in Excel and upload data into the Remedy asset management system.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in project documentation and asset databases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Utilize MS Project (PWA experience is a plus) and other Microsoft tools for project planning and execution.
- Support financial tracking and reporting related to project activities.
- Work onsite in Milwaukee initially, transitioning to a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite/week) after training.
Years of Experience and Education
- Minimum 6 years of relevant project management experience.
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Certifications in project management or related fields are a plus but not required.
Skills Required
- Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, queries, data updates).
- Proven experience in project management, particularly in IT hardware lifecycle.
- Familiarity with asset management tools such as Remedy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Windows/Microsoft OS; Mac experience is a bonus.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate across various teams and locations.
