IT Support Specialist
Location: Cambridge, MA (100% On-Site)
Client: Harvard University
Pay Rate: $40hr

Harvard University is seeking experienced IT Support Specialists to provide technical support in a fast-paced academic environment. This position is fully on-site in Cambridge, MA and offers an opportunity to support faculty, staff, and students while working with a wide range of technologies and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop and technical support for Mac and Windows environments
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, email, and application issues
  • Respond to and resolve end-user technical support requests
  • Assist with workstation setup, configuration, and maintenance
  • Support operating systems, desktop applications, and related technologies
  • Deliver excellent customer service while communicating technical solutions clearly
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve complex technical issues
  • Document support activities and resolutions

Required Qualifications

  • College Degree
  • Data processing training, computer operations training, or relevant technical experience
  • 3–5 years of experience providing customer service in a technology-focused environment
  • Experience troubleshooting both Mac and Windows systems
  • Experience supporting email and desktop applications
  • Knowledge of hardware, software, operating systems, and computer applications
  • Basic understanding of network protocols
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • College degree strongly preferred
  • Previous experience supporting Harvard University or another higher education institution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong service-oriented mindset and customer-focused approach
