Laboratory Technician
Location: Sugar Land, TX
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Contract Duration: 1-year, with possible extension. W2
Pay: $25/hr
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support laboratory testing, quality activities, and product development efforts. This position will perform testing and inspections, maintain laboratory equipment and documentation, and work closely with engineering and technical teams to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing, inspections, and evaluations according to established procedures and specifications.
- Prepare, label, maintain, and track samples for testing and analysis.
- Accurately record, analyze, and report test results.
- Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Support quality assurance and quality control activities.
- Assist engineers and technical personnel with product development and validation testing.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, documentation, and testing logs.
- Follow established safety requirements and laboratory procedures.
- Support investigations involving product quality concerns, test failures, and manufacturing issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic understanding of laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Chemistry, Engineering Technology, Applied Science, or a related field.
- Previous laboratory, quality, manufacturing, or technical experience.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- No routine overtime expected.
- Laboratory-based work environment requiring appropriate PPE.

They should be able to follow established testing procedures, maintain accurate documentation, troubleshoot basic equipment issues, and collaborate effectively with engineering and technical teams.
