Pay Rate: $40.00 – 43.00/hr. based on benefit inclusions

Job Summary
This role is responsible for providing engineering analysis, technical expertise, project coordination, and advanced troubleshooting support for manufacturing equipment and factory operations. The position focuses on improving equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety while leading maintenance activities and supporting skilled-trade personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Assign and monitor work for skilled-trades personnel across maintenance requests, preventative maintenance, and project work
  • Develop and manage short-term work schedules to ensure timely completion of maintenance and operational goals
  • Lead and support preventative maintenance efforts to improve equipment reliability, quality, and safety
  • Diagnose equipment and machine malfunctions to root cause and drive corrective actions
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for assembly equipment and tooling fixtures
  • Review and optimize spare parts lists, preventative maintenance plans, and technical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and promote safe work practices across the team
  • Identify and address safety risks and escalate critical issues when necessary
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance processes and equipment performance

Years of Experience and Education

  • 3+ years of experience in general maintenance, mechanical engineering, factory automation, or related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous supervisory experience leading 20–25+ employees, preferably in a union environment
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience

Skills Required

  • Strong experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of tooling fixtures and assembly equipment
  • Proven background in preventative maintenance programs (non-facilities focused)
  • Leadership experience supervising teams in a manufacturing or union environment
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with automation and controls, including Allen-Bradley components and Rockwell PLCs
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet, DeviceNet, Profibus, Modbus)
  • Working knowledge of maintenance systems such as SAP PM
  • Understanding of machinery safety standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to support multi-shift operations, including 2nd shift and occasional overtime/weekends
