Pay Rate: $30.00 – $32.50/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Planner to support a large manufacturing operation in Waterloo, IA. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance and preventative maintenance activities for production equipment, facilities, and plant operations. The role is primarily shop floor-based and requires frequent interaction with maintenance teams and manufacturing personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize maintenance requests from throughout the facility.
- Plan and assign maintenance work to skilled, semi-skilled, and non-skilled maintenance personnel.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance activities for production and facility equipment.
- Provide technical support by obtaining drawings, procedures, parts, tools, and equipment needed for maintenance work.
- Source materials and services, obtain quotes, and issue purchase orders for maintenance-related needs.
- Track inventory levels, crib stock usage, and spare parts to support operational efficiency and cost reduction initiatives.
- Generate maintenance reports and documentation as required.
- Support the development and updating of preventative maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
- Assist with projects related to facility maintenance, equipment improvements, and engineering services.
- Provide work direction to maintenance personnel and support supervisory functions when needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance planning, maintenance coordination, manufacturing operations, or industrial maintenance environments.
- Ability to prioritize and schedule multiple maintenance activities.
- Experience working with maintenance systems, inventory tracking, and purchasing processes.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and collaborating with maintenance and operations teams.
Work Environment
- Fully onsite position.
- Manufacturing/shop floor environment.
- Approximately 80% of time spent on the production floor.
- Business casual dress code.
- Metatarsal safety boots required.
- Occasional travel between nearby facilities may be required.
