New Model Program Engineer

Compensation: Up to $32 per hour
Overview
Epitec is seeking a New Model Program Engineer to support the successful launch of new vehicle and powertrain programs within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing critical launch activities, driving issue resolution across cross-functional teams, overseeing pre-production build events, and ensuring programs are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Manage and execute new model launch activities from planning through production readiness.
- Serve as a key program governance leader, ensuring compliance with established launch processes and standards.
- Oversee pre-production build events and associated activities to support program objectives.
- Manage the ordering, build, testing, evaluation, and disposition of pre-production vehicles.
- Execute and support pre-production drive fleet evaluation plans.
- Coordinate and manage Product Development change approvals to ensure readiness ahead of prototype builds.
- Lead issue management processes and drive cross-functional teams toward timely problem resolution.
- Co-chair launch meetings and facilitate resolution of part support and build-related concerns.
- Support launch budget approvals and manage program-controlled budget activities.
- Develop and present weekly program assessments, status reports, and risk updates.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership regarding program performance, challenges, and mitigation plans.
- Support the transition and integration of launch teams into manufacturing facilities.
- Travel as needed to support launch activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
- 2+ years of experience utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies and statistical analysis.
- 1+ years of experience in vehicle operations, powertrain manufacturing, engineering, program management, launch activities, or a related field.
- Strong program management skills with experience maintaining issue trackers and driving resolution with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Program management experience.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of Engineering Change Management and Issue Management processes.
- Understanding of vehicle development and production launch methodologies.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
