Assembly Manufacturing Engineer

Job Type: W2, 23-month Contract

Job Location: Horicon, WI

Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift – 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM

Note: May require support or transition to off-shift. Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Additional Requirements

  • Metatarsal safety shoes required from day one
  • Occasional lifting up to 35 lbs (infrequent)
  • May drive a company-owned Gator inside the factory (after safety training)
  • May drive personal vehicle to other facilities for meetings
  • Cross-border work is not permitted

 

Job Overview

We are seeking an Assembly Manufacturing Engineer to support assembly operations. This role involves approximately 50% of time on the shop floor, troubleshooting issues and communicating across all levels of the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct line support for production employees (50% shop floor presence)
  • Communicate project progress and daily updates to management and team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing and assembly process issues
  • Apply knowledge of assembly processes and tooling to improve operations
  • Attend meetings at other facilities as needed
  • Occasionally lift up to 35 lbs

 

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Knowledge of assembly processes and tooling (highly preferred)
  • Ability to work onsite and adapt to shift/overtime changes
  • Comfortable in a manufacturing environment

 

Education & Experience

  • Preferred: Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, etc.)
  • OR 5+ years of experience as a manufacturing engineer
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment required

Recent graduates with relevant internships will be considered; compensation will reflect experience level.

  • Background in assembly processes is highly preferred
