Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer supports onsite production operations by partnering with cross?functional teams to develop, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes. This role is responsible for resolving production issues, supporting engineering changes such as BOM updates and change orders, establishing manufacturing methods and standards, and driving continuous improvements across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the manufacturing representative on customer teams, supporting Bill of Materials (BOM) updates, processing engineering and manufacturing change orders (ECO/MCO), and training production operators
  • Establish routings, methods, layouts, tooling, costs, quality plans, and labor standards for new and existing parts or programs of moderate scope
  • Provide manufacturing support and troubleshooting for current operations by investigating issues, analyzing data, and implementing solutions related to material flow, capacity, and productivity
  • Drive safety, quality, delivery, and productivity improvements of small to medium scope using electronic and manufacturing engineering tools

Years of Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a minimum of 4+ years of related manufacturing engineering experience

Skills Required

  • Hands?on experience with manufacturing processes, including line and process design, cycle time imbalance, material presentation (Kanban), visual management (5S), and tooling design
  • Ability to investigate manufacturing issues and implement effective, data?driven resolutions
  • Knowledge of manufacturing engineering methodologies and best practices
  • Understanding of ergonomics and proper manufacturing safety techniques
  • Familiarity with quality systems and tools such as ISO?9001, Six Sigma, DFM/DFA, FMEA, and mistake?proofing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Exposure to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP systems, and change management systems preferred
