Assembly Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Horicon, WI (On-Site)
Pay: $41-$43/hour + Benefits
Schedule: 1st Shift (5:00 AM – 1:30 PM)
Occasional overtime and off-shift support may be required based on business needs.


About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking an Assembly Manufacturing Engineer to provide direct production line support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is highly visible on the shop floor and is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, collaborating with production teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for both experienced engineers and recent engineering graduates with internship experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day manufacturing engineering support for assembly operations.
  • Spend approximately 50% of the workday on the production floor.
  • Troubleshoot production and process issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with production employees, supervisors, and engineering teams.
  • Support process improvements and manufacturing initiatives.
  • Communicate project status and production concerns to management.
  • Work within a team environment to solve complex manufacturing challenges.
  • Support assembly tooling and production processes.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (new graduates with engineering internship experience encouraged to apply)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Self-starter with initiative and a strong desire to learn
  • Ability to work effectively in a production environment

Preferred

  • Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • Knowledge of assembly processes and tooling
  • Experience supporting production operations

Additional Information

  • Position requires working directly with production employees on the manufacturing floor.
  • Occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.
  • Safety footwear with metatarsal protection required on the first day.
