Schedule: A Crew: Monday – Thursday 6am-6pm
B Crew: Tuesday – Friday 6pm-6am
C Crew: Friday-Saturday 6am-6pm and Sunday-Monday 6pm-6am
Pay: $45,000-$55,000 annualy, based on experience and qualifications
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Material Coordinator to support daily materials, inventory, and logistics operations within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring material availability for production, coordinating shipments, and communicating with suppliers and internal teams to support uninterrupted operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, discrepancy reporting, and receipt processing.
- Monitor inventory levels and generate reports to ensure proper material availability.
- Communicate supply shortages, risks, and material concerns to suppliers, planners, and leadership.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including shipment tracking and expedited freight.
- Pull and stage inventory to support production schedules and customer requirements.
- Support engineering change management processes and min/max inventory controls.
- Assist with dock operations, shipment transactions, and plant inventory activities.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and inventory management processes.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in materials coordination, logistics, inventory control, or automotive manufacturing.
- Experience working in a Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Preferred:
- Experience with inventory management and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing and supply chain operations.
Work Environment
- Combination of office and manufacturing plant environment.
- Regular interaction with production, warehouse, shipping, and receiving teams.
- Ability to move throughout the facility and support shop floor operations.
- Up to 5% travel may be required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
