Job Description:
This Materials Planner role supports truck and EV manufacturing operations within a fast-paced production environment, ensuring materials are planned, scheduled, and available to meet production demands. The position works closely with purchasing, engineering, and production teams to manage material flow, maintain supply chain system data accuracy, and support efficient manufacturing operations. This is an onsite role in San Antonio, TX, operating on a 4×10 schedule (Monday-Thursday) in a plant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials throughout the production cycle.
- Determine material requirements based on engineering specifications and production schedules.
- Coordinate material availability and delivery with purchasing, production, and engineering teams.
- Support procurement activities and maintain accurate supply chain management system data.
- Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), part numbers, and commodity records.
- Develop specifications and documentation for new contract orders.
- Track material inventory and identify potential shortages or production risks.
- Ensure data integrity across procurement and enterprise-wide business systems.
- Communicate material status updates and resolve supply-related issues with internal stakeholders.
- Support continuous production operations within a manufacturing plant environment.
