Are you an experienced Mechanical Designer with deep expertise in Powertrain Assembly? We’re seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to support the development of advanced powertrain assembly and testing systems. This role focuses on designing complex tooling, stations, and mechanical systems that meet demanding manufacturing and customer requirements.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop complete designs for manual, semi?automatic, and automatic assembly stations/machines.
  • Create, modify, and revise 2D and 3D CAD models, drawings, and kit designs.
  • Design mechanical equipment, tooling, dies, and control components using SolidWorks.
  • Interpret customer specifications and ensure compliance with all standards.
  • Support manufacturing and commissioning teams with technical solutions and issue resolution.
  • Participate in project team meetings and prepare documentation, reports, and proposals.
  • Provide guidance and training to drafting and technical support personnel when needed.
  • Perform domestic and international travel for field checks and project support.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years Mechanical Design/Engineering experience in Powertrain Assembly
    or an Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong background in:
    • Powertrain Assembly processes
    • Piston stuffing
    • Torque turn
    • Piston travel & compression
    • Super structures
    • Engine blocks, cylinder heads, transmissions (manual & automatic)
    • Powertrain testing systems

Technical Skills

  • SolidWorks (primary CAD platform)
  • AutoCAD
  • NX
  • Proficiency in 2D & 3D modeling
  • Mechanical equipment, tooling, dies, and controls design
  • Free?hand sketching and interpreting engineering prints
  • Microsoft Office & Excel
  • Strong understanding of industrial processes and system build for powertrain products
