Job Description:
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Calibration & Procurement Coordinator to support laboratory and manufacturing operations through the management of calibration services, equipment procurement, vendor coordination, and documentation control. This role is responsible for ensuring critical metrology equipment remains compliant, calibrated, and available to support operational needs while maintaining accurate records and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders for calibration services, metrology equipment, calibration standards, tooling, consumables, and related services.

Obtain vendor quotations, evaluate pricing and service options, and negotiate costs when appropriate.

Monitor and track open purchase orders, expediting deliveries as needed to support uninterrupted laboratory operations.

Collaborate with equipment owners to maintain equipment status and ensure calibration schedules are met.

Maintain department records, files, and documentation in accordance with company procedures, quality requirements, and regulatory standards.

Assist with the preparation and drafting of formal technical reports for customers and internal stakeholders.

Support asset tracking and calibration management activities to ensure compliance and traceability requirements are maintained.
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement, calibration coordination, laboratory support, quality systems, or a related field.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business systems.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of electrical calibration equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and process calibrators.

Familiarity with dimensional measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, gauge blocks, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).

Understanding of quality management systems, calibration traceability requirements, and controlled documentation practices.

Experience using asset management, procurement, or calibration software systems.

Prior experience supporting laboratory, manufacturing, quality, or metrology environments.
Physical Requirements

Ability to occasionally lift and move materials or equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.

Ability to walk throughout laboratory and manufacturing environments as required.

Ability to perform administrative and computer-based work for extended periods.
