Job Description:
This role is a senior-level Manufacturing Process Engineer position supporting daily production operations at International’s truck manufacturing facility in San Antonio, TX. The engineer will work closely with operations teams to resolve downtime and quality issues, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and manage small to medium-sized projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and operational efficiency. Ideal candidates bring strong manufacturing engineering experience, excellent communication skills, drawing interpretation expertise, and a proven ability to lead problem-solving efforts in a high-volume production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support daily manufacturing operations by responding to production defects, downtime, and process-related issues
• Participate in a cross-functional engineering support team to drive problem resolution and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead and manage Top 10 priority projects, including process improvements, vendor coordination, purchasing activities, and solution implementation
• Develop, maintain, and standardize process documentation, including PFMEAs, work instructions, OPLs, Kaizen forms, and related materials
• Participate in corrective action activities to address internal and external quality concerns
• Collaborate with operations teams through RTMs and daily pulse meetings, ensuring alignment on priorities and action items
• Read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings to support manufacturing processes and troubleshooting efforts
• Drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity while minimizing downtime and defects
• Independently manage routine engineering tasks while contributing positively within a team-oriented environment
• Support production growth initiatives, including workforce expansion and new shift launches, as needed
