.NET Software Developer
Location: Montgomery, Alabama
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Contract Duration: 6 months, with possibility of extension – W2
Pay: $55/hr.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced .NET Software Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support business-critical software applications. This role will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, development, testing, implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in .NET development, database design, software troubleshooting, and application support. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions while ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, test, and maintain software applications using the .NET framework and related technologies.
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following software development best practices.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to gather and analyze system requirements.
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot software applications, APIs, stored procedures, and database solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization activities.
- Integrate applications with third-party systems and services.
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement effective resolutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for software applications and processes.
- Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for existing systems.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices related to .NET development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in .NET software development.
- Strong proficiency with C#, ASP.NET, MVC, VB.NET, JavaScript, and .NET Framework technologies.
- Experience developing and supporting web-based applications and APIs.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
- Experience with database design, SQL development, and stored procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification in .NET development or related technologies.
- Experience with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern application architectures.
- Experience with software version control and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of application security principles and secure coding standards.
- Experience supporting and maintaining enterprise-level applications.
