Job Title: Pharmacist
Contract Duration: 1 year, possibility for extension (W2)
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Pay: $55-60/hr
Summary
The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant prescription processing and dispensing. This role provides oversight of pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, documentation, and quality assurance while collaborating with internal teams to maintain high service and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure efficiency, accuracy, and completeness in prescription processing and dispensing
- Provide oversight of all pharmacy record-keeping and licensing to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Review, update, and adhere to pharmacy protocols and procedures in accordance with regulatory agency requirements
- Monitor compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality assurance standards, JCAHO requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), when applicable
- Report prescription audit results and trend analysis on a monthly basis
- Maintain all required documentation, including exception reporting
- Communicate operational or compliance issues with appropriate personnel, including remote pharmacists and Customer Service teams
- Collaborate with Customer Service to perform and verify order entry quantities using customer data systems
- Perform additional pharmacy-related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Active and unrestricted Utah Pharmacist License
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure regulatory and procedural compliance
