Job Description:
We’re seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team and drive excellence in process engineering for new product launches and capacity expansions. This role is critical in ensuring safety, quality, and productivity across axle and differential assembly operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing process engineering during new product launches and capacity expansions.
- Develop process and instruction sheets aligned with quality standards.
- Deliver capable processes and tools for assembly operations.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
- Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to improve processes and products.
- Lead corrective actions using 8D methodology and structured problem-solving tools.
- Conduct process audits and ensure compliance with Powertrain Operations guidelines.
- Perform ergonomic evaluations and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze inventory constraints and reduce assembly rejects.
- Present process optimizations to team and plant management.
- Lead variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Plant, Corporate, Governmental, and Environmental standards.
- Support ISO 14001 compliance and internal auditing.
- Identify throughput constraints and drive improvements to meet Rate of Climb targets.
- Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Experience
- Required:
- High School Diploma / GED
- 5+ years of related experience
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
- Familiarity with Lean tools (5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, Value Stream Mapping)
- Expertise in 8D, 5Why, DMAIC, DMADV, TQM, Kaizen, FMEA, PPAP, DOE
- Visual Factory Management and ergonomic analysis
