Epitec is seeking to hire a Process Engineer to support Axle Assembly manufacturing operations for one of the largest U.S. automakers.
This role is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, lean manufacturing, process validation, and equipment implementation. The engineer will lead manufacturing process improvements, equipment commissioning, root cause investigations, ergonomic evaluations, and plant floor support to ensure world-class assembly operations.

Responsibilities
-
Support Manufacturing Process Engineering activities for Axle Assembly operations.
-
Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
-
Apply engineering principles to develop, validate, and improve manufacturing processes.
-
Lead manufacturing projects including equipment procurement, installation, delivery, and commissioning.

Conduct process audits and ensure compliance with Powertrain Operations standards.
-
Perform ergonomic evaluations and implement corrective actions.
-
Analyze inventory and reject data to identify root causes and implement improvements.
-
Develop process documentation, work instructions, and standardized manufacturing procedures.
-
Support assembly operations by delivering capable manufacturing processes and tooling.
-
Lead machining-related investigations and variability reduction initiatives.
-
Implement lean manufacturing best practices and continuous improvement projects.

Ensure compliance with plant, corporate, environmental, and governmental regulations.

Identify production bottlenecks and drive throughput improvements to achieve rate targets.
Requirements
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

5+ years of Manufacturing Process Engineering experience.
