Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineer

Location: Louisville Kentucky 40241 United States– 5 Days/Week
Employment Type: Full-Time
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
Experience: 1–3 Years Preferred


About the Role

We’re seeking a hands-on Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineer to join our Product Development team. This role is critical to ensuring vehicle quality and customer satisfaction. As the first line of defense for quality issues, you’ll analyze warranty data, support plant operations, and lead engineering changes to improve product performance and reduce costs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze warranty claims, customer feedback, and dealership comments
  • Categorize claims and coordinate with dealerships for diagnostics
  • Conduct customer callbacks and root cause analysis on returned parts
  • Develop interim containment and permanent corrective actions
  • Support Stop Ships/Stop Builds, Campaigns, Audits, and Quality investigations
  • Lead engineering changes for minor product launches and cost reduction efforts
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve subsystem issues
  • Conduct engineering trials and implement running changes
  • Issue Engineering Alerts and pursue product change authorizations
  • Maintain quality documentation (SAQ, Top 20 concerns)
  • Present findings to upper management in weekly and strategic reviews

Required Skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities for complex technical issues
  • Effective project management and communication skills
  • Familiarity with quality assurance standards (SPC, control plans, reaction plans)
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action development
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt training preferred
