Technical Product Manager – AI Tools

Position Overview

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead the strategy, adoption, and scaling of an AI-powered tool ecosystem that accelerates vehicle electrical, software, and systems engineering workflows. This role goes beyond backlog management—you will be a technical practitioner, product champion, and internal evangelist who proves the real-world value of AI through rapid prototyping, measurable outcomes, and strong stakeholder engagement.

You will work closely with electrical, software, and systems engineers to identify workflow pain points, validate AI-driven solutions, and bring high-impact tools from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

Ecosystem Strategy & Evangelism

  • Act as the lead product champion for an existing AI tool portfolio supporting vehicle electrical, software, and systems engineering.
  • Drive adoption across engineering teams through hands-on engagement and continuous advocacy.
  • Lead workshops, internal demos, and “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) sessions to showcase how AI tools solve real engineering bottlenecks.
  • Embed yourself in engineering workflows to identify pain points and translate them into actionable product features.

Rapid Prototyping & Feasibility Testing

  • Build rapid proofs of concept (POCs) using low-code/no-code platforms such as:
    • Streamlit
    • GitHub Copilot extensions
    • Agent-based workflows using modern AI models (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini)
  • Deliver “quick-win” prototypes that demonstrate AI value before committing full engineering resources.
  • Validate both technical feasibility and user desirability prior to full-scale development.

Business Case & KPI Ownership

  • Develop strong business cases for new AI tools and enhancements.
  • Quantify value using engineering-focused KPIs, including:
    • Engineering hours saved
    • Defect Detection Rate (DDR)
    • Time-to-market reduction
    • System reliability improvements
  • Track ROI across the vehicle development lifecycle and report outcomes to leadership.

Technical Integration & Data Strategy

  • Ensure AI tools integrate seamlessly into standard vehicle engineering environments, including:
    • SysML
    • AUTOSAR
    • MBSE toolchains
    • CI/CD pipelines
  • Partner with data and platform teams to ensure access to high-quality, well-labeled engineering data for model training and fine-tuning.
  • Support lifecycle management from prototype through production deployment.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in a relevant technical or product role.
  • Strong background in Vehicle Electrical, Software, or Systems Engineering.
  • Working knowledge of:
    • E/E architectures
    • ECU communication (CAN, Ethernet)
    • Software-defined vehicle concepts
  • Proven experience using Jira and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable product requirements.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a strong interest in applying AI to improve engineering workflows.
  • Exposure to Big Data, Data Science, Analytics, Full Stack Development, or AI/Expert Systems.
  • Familiarity with taking applications from prototype to production, including productization and end-to-end delivery.
  • Hands-on coding experience is not required, but a strong technical and architectural understanding is expected.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

Work Setup & Hiring Process

  • 4 days onsite / 1 day remote
  • In-person interviews required

Benefits: 80 hours paid time off, medical insurance contributions, dental vision and our 401k retirement savings plan.
