Job Description:
The Product Owner is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering capabilities and business features that support the Dealer Websites program. This role partners closely with dealers, business stakeholders, UX, engineering, and product management to translate business needs into actionable requirements, manage the product backlog, and ensure solutions deliver value to dealers and customers.
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- As the Dealer Websites program moves into execution mode, additional product ownership capacity is needed to drive delivery of dealer templates for dealer-specific content, content syndication from next gen, dealer authoring capabilities, and system integrations (leads, request service, AI Assistant, etc).
- This role will partner with dealers, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to define requirements, manage priorities, and ensure solutions meet dealer needs.
- The role will help accelerate delivery, improve dealer adoption, and ensure a scalable, consistent experience across the dealer network while reducing delivery risk and supporting successful program rollout.
Typical task breakdown:
- The role is highly collaborative and stakeholder-facing, requiring frequent interaction with dealers, business partners, engineering teams, and leadership.
- The value of faster decision making, stronger stakeholder engagement, and reduced communication overhead outweighs the labor cost savings that might be achieved through an offshore model.
Education & Experience Required:
- No Bachelor’s degree required but must have 7+ years exp in this capacity
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, must have a minimum of 5-7 years exp in this capacity
Required Technical Skills
- Experience serving as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role within a digital product or software development environment
- Strong understanding of Agile product development practices and backlog management
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements
- Experience supporting software testing, validation, and release activities
Soft Skills
- Proven ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
