Summary

Our client is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented, and analytical Product Safety Project Manager to support a fast-paced Product Safety team across multiple consumer product lines. This role is highly data-driven and execution-focused, centered on collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and forecasting product safety data to identify trends, support risk management efforts, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and experience creating dashboards, reports, and stakeholder-ready insights using tools such as Excel, SQL, Python/R, Tableau, and/or Power BI. A core requirement is the ability to independently own projects end-to-end (initiation through delivery), ensuring accountability and measurable outcomes in support of product safety operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Trend Identification: Collect, clean, analyze, and interpret qualitative and quantitative product safety data to identify trends, emerging risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Dashboards & Reporting: Build and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and recurring reports; present findings, recommendations, and action plans to internal stakeholders.
  • Risk Assessment & Root Cause Analysis: Conduct risk assessments and root cause analyses for product safety incidents; help drive preventative actions to reduce recurrence.
  • Process Improvement: Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven process improvements that strengthen product safety operations.
  • Project Management (End-to-End Ownership): Manage ongoing and ad-hoc projects from kickoff through final delivery, including timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Data Analysis, Engineering, Safety Management, or related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in business analysis, product safety, or related work.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into practical recommendations.
  • Tools: Proficiency with data analysis and BI tools such as Excel, SQL, and reporting/visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) — plus exposure to Python and/or R is strongly valued.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present findings clearly and influence cross-functional partners.
  • Execution & Organization: High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with consumer product safety regulations or standards (e.g., CPSC, UL, IEC, ISO).
  • Experience supporting operational strategy through forecasting, KPI development, and performance tracking.
  • Background partnering with cross-functional stakeholders (operations, engineering, quality, compliance, and/or program teams).
